When I heard that the last remaining black and white peel apart film, Fuji FP-3000b, was being discontinued I felt compelled to do some sort of project that would capture the essence and purity of this film. I purchased the last 10 boxes I could find and went to work. Deciding to use it strictly for portraits I wanted to keep it simple using one light or just ambient light. Shot exclusively with a 4x5 view camera and Polaroid PA-45 holder. Within minutes the final print is in hand, with a quality that's both low fi and fine art, it satisfies our need for instant gratification and at the same time creates images that can stand alone as pieces of art. I have used Fuji instant films off and on for years and I will miss this film dearly.
This is an ongoing project that will continue until the film runs out.
